How it works

FPM offers livestock shares to fill your freezer with premium meats.

01

Choose Your Meat

FPM offers beef, pork, and lamb livestock shares.

02

Choose your share

FPM offers whole, half, quarter, or eighth livestock shares sized for every household.

03

Pay Your Deposit

A non-refundable deposit secures your livestock share and starts the process. The deposit is applied toward the final total.

04

Customize your processing

Select one of the FPM Processing Packages. If you are looking for something not included in the FPM Processing Packages, FPM will set up a custom processing consultation.

05

FPM coordinates the schedule

FPM begins securing livestock and coordinating with the butcher after the Deposit is received. FPM will share pricing details as they are finalized and progress updates after the Deposit is received, until the livestock is processed and ready for delivery.

06

Final pricing confirmed

The grand total of your livestock share is determined after the final live weight is confirmed with the producer and processing fees are confirmed with the butcher. Final quantities and weights are determined after processing is complete because livestock slightly vary and custom processing requests.

07

Payment and delivery

The anticipated delivery date is coordinated when processing is scheduled with the butcher. You will need to confirm you have freezer space available when processing is complete because butchers and FPM do not store meat. Payment is required in full before meat is delivered.

Your meat arrives frozen, vacuum-sealed, ready for your household.

How much should I order?

If you have not ordered livestock shares before, start by estimating how much meat your household consumes in a year, how much freezer space you have (or have room for a new freezer), and your budget range. That will point you to the right share size.

Can I choose my own cuts?

Yes. Select one of the FPM processing packages, or set up a consultation to review the full cut sheet and coordinate completely custom processing.

Is the non-refundable deposit applied to my final total?

Yes. Your non-refundable deposit secures the livestock and begins schedule coordination. The non-refundable deposit is subtracted from your final total.

When is the final pricing confirmed?

We will provide an estimated price range after you have confirmed your meat, livestock share, and processing package. We will dial in the estimated price range as livestock and feed are secured and custom processing is coordinated with the butcher. The grand total is based on final live weight and livestock price, custom processing fees, and is finalized when processing is complete.

What if I have not ordered a livestock share before?

Familiarize yourself with the FPM website, order form, cut sheets, share sizes, and processing packages. Submit an order through the form and we will walk you through the rest.

Why is now a good time to secure a livestock share?

As consumer demand for quality meat grows and we continue to see fewer producers with shrinking herd sizes, prices will continue to rise and premium products will become harder to source. Securing a livestock share now means locking in current pricing and having priority for re-ordering next season. Annual plan options are coming soon so you do not have to worry about securing your order each year.
